The first Rolex Deepsea hit the market in 2008. In addition to offering water-resistance up to 12,800 feet, it brought with it an innovative Ring Lock System. This feature takes some of the pressure off of the crystal during deep saturation dives and evenly distributes it around the case. This addition to the Deepsea is instrumental to the model's incredible waterproofness. The Deepsea also utilizes a Triplock screw-down crown with three sealed zones, a Titanium case back that flexes as the pressure around the watch increases, and a thicker sapphire crystal.
The ref. 126660 is a recently discontinued Rolex Deepsea that also features the brand's newest cal. 3235 Perpetual movement with a skeletonized Chronergy escapement.
