This Rolex watch is in great vintage condition consistent with age. The case is strong with scratches and nicks. The bevels are still visible and the case is possibly unpolished. The bezel insert is in excellent condition with light wear. The blue portion shows a slight fading and the colors remain vibrant. The back of the bezel is fuchsia colored. The dial has aged from black to a consistent chocolaty brown color. The lume on the dial and in the hands has all aged to a lovely off whiteish color that compliments the tropical dial nicely. The hands have developed patina. This watch has retained its original date wheel with "hooked 7s" and closed "6s." The bracelet is in good condition with wear and scratches, it has stretch between the links which is common for this type of bracelet.
Excellent tropical dial that has turned into an even brown color throughout. The hour markers have aged to a nice off white color. The lume in the hands match the lume on the dial. The hands have developed patina.
Excellent case that has scratches and shows some wear, it is possibly unpolished. This comes with a beautiful blue and fuchsia bezel insert and has light surface wear. Excellent stainless steel Oyster Rivet 7206 with 12 links and 80 end links. Back of clasp is stamped 2/69 which corresponds to the case production. The bracelet shows some stretch between the links with some wear and scratches throughout.

The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1969 example is in overall beautiful condition with it's tropical brown dial and fuchsia bezel. Collectors refer to this dial variation as a Mark I "Long E." When looking at the "Rolex" text on the dial the "E" has a longer central bar (same length as the top and bottom ones) and that is where this nickname comes from. This watch checks all the boxes for someone looking for a vintage GMT with a lot of flavor! From the chocolate brown dial to the fuchsia bezel this watch has lots of character and is a real show stopper.
MOVEMENT: Movement is functioning. This vintage Rolex comes with Bob's Watches one year warranty.
